Until Next Time
It was time to start winding down our trip. This would be our last day in Tasmania so we kept it pretty low key. Because the days had been starting out clear then slowly clouding over, we decided to head to the top of Mount Wellington for a view over the city. The winding, narrow road to the top would obviously need to be shut down during winter months because it would be impossible during snow and ice which I was assured that they get. Fortunately this was a nice spring day so we had no problems. There’s a glassed in visitor center at the top where you can look out over Hobart and the bay. You realize just how much waterway is available to the city which is why, I’m sure, it was built here. Even though it was a beautiful day, it was very windy and flat out cold once you left your car.
